Strauss Backs England To Win World Cup


England captain Andrew Strauss said his side have an excellent chance of winning the World Cup in the subcontinent, despite losing 6-1 to Australia in the recent one-day series.

Strauss said England was not tired, even if the game is more than three months to stretch, and his sons had become "very motivated and excited" to play International Cricket Council's showpiece event starts on Saturday.

"We had a lot of good cricket one day in the last 18 months. We did not play so well in Australia, which is disappointing for us. But we have a solid team, steady hand," Strauss said, Bangladesh capital.
