Today, in the third quarter final match of Dhaka, New Zealand and South Africa are going to face each other. Both the teams have shown excellent performance in the group matches. But the success of South African was more than New Zealand. Among the six matches, South Africa won in 5 matches and got 10 points to qualify in the quarter final being group champion. On the other hand, New Zealand won in four matches and got 8 points from the same number of matches. They have become fourth of the group A. But the captain of New Zealand, Daniel Vettori, who has just released from injury, does not want to look at the result of the group matches. He wants to go to the field today in order to win against South Africa. Behind this, he is taking the match against Pakistan as the inspiration. In the match of the group, New Zealand got a big win of 110 runs against Pakistan. Although Vettori was not able to play the last two matches for the knee injury, he is fully fit now. About the today’s match against South Africa, he said, “The main power of our team is the batsmen. About every batsman is getting runs. Specially, Taylor is in a great form, at present. If he can play well today then I am sure that we will be able to make a high score for our opponent.” Vettori also said, “We want to apply our maximum ability today, which we did against Pakistan.” Vettori wants to utilize the power play in today’s match. About the strength of S. Africa, Vettori said, “It will have to confess that they are in a very good form now. But it does not mean that we will accept to leave them easily.”

According to the history of the previous world cup tournaments, New Zealand and South Africa faced each other total 5 times, where New Zealand won 3 times and South Africa 2 times. About the field of today, Vettori said, “Yes, we became whitewash to Bangladesh by 4-0, but I think that result will not affect in today’s match.” In the meantime, the hard hitter batsman, McCullum has been returned from injury. According to the captain, he is fully fit to play. Vettori is taking this return as a plus point for the team. Vettori expects that the players of his team will be able to show a great performance today like the success against Pakistan.
