Dawood Ibrahim's men were nabbed by the Mumbai police in connection with match fixing racket involving Australia-Zimbabwe match on February 21st 2011. It is learnt that the underworld's men fixed the match between Australia and Zimbabwe. These three men were staying in the same five star hotel where the Australian team was also staying. They were meeting the team members in lobby and the deal was also struck there for spot fixing of the world cup match.
The police have obtained the call records of the don's men and details regarding spot fixing have been obtained from these records. ICC anti-corruption wing has also confirmed that the match was fixed. ICC has also taken note of the slow batting in the first ten overs in which the Australians scored just 28 runs. More investigations is in progress.
