Batsmen In The T20 Cricket

With the ICC bringing in new rules to make the game of cricket ever more exciting and marketable globally, the format of T20 cricket has certainly breathed new life into the game. This has also managed to inject a sense of urgency amongst the sides to score runs at a rapid pace and hence within their arsenal they all have hard hitting batsmen whose job is not to look picturesque while playing his shots but too be effective and score runs quickly.
One such hard hitter that has made a name for himself in the modern game is Shahid Afridi who knows no other way to stay at the wicket except massacring the ball around the park from the word go. Better known as ‘Boom Boom' ,afridi is a dangerous customer and although he often gives away his wicket cheaply but his occasional stay at the wicket can change the course of the match within overs. Yuvraj Singh, the young Indian left hander is mesmerizing to watch since his stroke play is not only divine but effective for his team. Better known for the 6 sixes that he hit Stuart Broad during a match, Yuvraj Singh is probably one of the most talented batsman in the world of cricket today. The man with the reputation of having iron like arms and keeping himself as much away from controversy as possible is Abdur Razzaq. He has developed himself as the most bankable middle order batsman for Pakistan in recent times but is normally known for his hard hitting in the final overs of the innings.
Known for being the inventor of the ‘Helicopter' shot, M.S Dhoni, the Indian cricket team captain is an extremely hard hitting batsman who starts off slowly on the crease but after he settles down, he is just uncontrollable. Relying majorly on the use of his bottom hand dhoni's explosive batting can cause tremors within any bowling line up of the world. Pakistan were subjected to a humiliating defeat by Australia in the semi final of the T20 WC in 2010 all thanks to Michael Hussey who has cemented himself in the Aussie side as a ferocious hard hitter who is known for his sixes and breath taking boundary hits. Hussey is a match winner and he can change gears any time during his inning and once he is in that hard hitting mode, only God can save the poor bowling side,
Chris gayle the tall West Indian left handed opener is the hardest hitter of the cricket ball without a shadow of doubt. The way he treats bowlers is at times sad since an on song Gayle rips apart the bowling sides like a dagger through a piece of cloth.
